For Eoin Morgan's England, a victory would earn an impressive 3-0 scoreline, respresenting consistency – a word Morgan has used many times in his pre-match press conferences this summer.

After re-inventing their ODI side last summer, England have been beset by inconsistent performances, as their young side progresses, but Morgan and Head Coach Trevor Bayliss will be determined to clinch a stylish and comprehensive series win in Cardiff.

England will again have to choose between the spin of Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan's pace when it comes to selecting their fifth bowling option, with Adil Rashid and Liam Plunkett the pick of the England bowlers in this series so far.

There may be an injury doubt hovering over Alex Hales, after the Notts opener did not bat at The Oval because of a back problem. The final ODI could also be a chance for England to rotate their squad. The likes of Steven Finn and James Vince have not featured in this series as yet.

England will be hoping for successful return to The SSE SWALEC, the ground where they were triumphant in the opening Test of last year's Ashes series and international T20. England also beat Sri Lanka in a Test match in Cardiff in 2011 after a dramatic final day saw the tourists bowled out cheapy when a draw had appeared favourite.

Only Moeen Ali, Joe Root and Jos Buttler survive from the XI who featured against Australia in Cardiff last year, with Ali and Root in particular starring in a 169-run victory for Bayliss' side in the coach's first match.

Sri Lanka, who have yet to beat England on this tour so far, will see the Cardiff match as a golden oppportunity to come home with a precious win. Only one T20 at the Ageas Bowl remains on this, a disappointing tour for Angelo Mathews and his troops.

With the bold approach of both teams and plenty of attractions and activities on and off the field, Cardiff is braced for an entertaining day of international cricket.
