Head Coach Robert Croft has named an unchanged 16-man squad for the visit of Midddlesex to The SSE SWLAEC tomorrow (2pm scheduled start), with the starting XI expected to be retained as the Welsh county seek their fourth successive win in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
As the first set of four pool games fixtures draw to a close, Glamorgan are sitting top of the pool following home wins against the holders Gloucestershire and Sussex Sharks with an impressive chase to secure victory at Canterbury yesterday.
After strong contributions from Rudolph and a half centuries from Will Bragg and a maiden List A fifty for David Lloyd at the top of the order, Colin Ingram’s 95 not out saw Glamorgan home against Kent.
“Colin showed his international experience and class and it was great for him to see us home. He is an immensely strong guy and was very clever at attacking the short boundary,” said Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph after the three-wicket win in Kent.
Four wins has been sufficient for teams to qualify for the quarter-finals in the last two seasons, with six wins guaranteeing a home tie in the knockout round.
"There's a high percentage of our team that's high on confidence, as long as that keeps continuing we might end up going places,” added Jacques who is in line to play his 250th List A game in his career.
“If we keep playing game by game I think we will end up in the knockout stages but we have to keep our feet on the ground and respect the game of cricket."
The visitors squad includes a number of faces well known to Glamorgan supporters, including Kiwi players James Franklin, who captains the side and star signing Brendon McCullum, both of whom had spells with Glamorgan, as well as Welsh seamer James Harris who is yet to play a game in the competition so far this season.
