Champion darts player Michael van Gerwen, the world number one in the Order of Merit, headlines the return of the Foster\'s Professional Darts Masters to The SSE SWALEC on Saturday 18 February, 2017.
In addition to Van Gerwen the event will also showcase three other world-ranked PDC players including his Dutch compatriot Raymond van Barneveld, Scotsman Peter Wright, currently second in the ProTour Rankings, and Carmarthenshire-born Jonny Clayton, whilst Bobby George completes the competitive line-up, with further guests to be announced.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday 23rd September with Welsh hope Clayton aiming to emulate the success of Mark Webster, who emerged victorious in front of the home crowd in the inaugural darts event held at The SSE SWALEC earlier this year.
However, with such a strong line-up of household names, including the world number one, contesting the title, it will be a tall order for Clayton to claim the throne. Dutch duo van Gerwen and van Barneveld enjoy a history of success on the global scene and the in-form entertainer, Peter Wright, renowned for his eye catching colourful Mohawk hairstyle are likely to be tough competition.
Hugh Morris, Glamorgan chief executive, said: “We've secured a legend of darts and four of the world's most renowned players for our second professional darts event at the home of Glamorgan CCC.”
“The Sophia Hall, which is regularly transformed from a cricket centre into a 600-capacity conferencing and exhibition facility, will have all the lights, sounds, screens and refreshments that make watching live darts such a unique spectator sport.

Tickets are priced at £25 for standard tickets or £49.50 for VIP tickets to include premium seating, pre-event snacks, event programme and the opportunity to meet the players.
Doors open for the Foster's Pro Darts Masters, at 5.30pm for VIPs who can meet players between 6-7pm, with general admission opening from 7pm and the main event starting at 7.30pm.
