Colin Ingram receives his Glamorgan cap

Colin Ingram was presented with his county cap before the start of Glamorgan’s Royal London One-Day Cup match against Surrey at The SSE SWALEC.

The 31 year-old received his Glamorgan cap from Club President Alan Jones, the legendary former opening batsman, in front of the Discover Leeks Pavilion shortly before the players took to the field.

Last summer, Ingram was the PCA’s Twenty20 Player of the Year, amassing 502 runs in the competition for the Welsh county, besides claiming nine wickets with his canny leg-spin. A knee injury prevented Colin from playing any red ball cricket last summer, but the South African has started the Championship season of 2017 where he left off in 2015 by scoring a fine hundred in the drawn match against Leicestershire at Grace Road.

Colin has also made a flying start in white ball cricket this summer, with his assertive innings and three wickets helping him to play a decisive role in Glamorgan’s 18-run victory over Gloucestershire at Bristol.
