The final squads for South Africa’s new T20 Global League have been announced with Glamorgan batsman Colin Ingram picked by the Joburg Giants in the first round of drafts.

Batsman David Miller who has represented Glamorgan in this year’s NatWest T20 Blast as an overseas player, will also play in the new competition having signed for the Bloem City Blazers as one of the competition’s eight local marquee players

Former Glamorgan fast bowler Dale Steyn who is currently recovering from injury was also selected in the first round by Cape Town Knight Riders.

It will be a busy winter for the left-handed Ingram who will also play in Australia's Big Bash competition for the first time after signing for Jason Gillespie’s Adelaide Strikers.

Ingram has been in fine form for Glamorgan in T20 cricket. He was Most Valuable Player in the 2016 NatWest T20 Blast and has hit two centuries in the 2017 competition to help guide the Welsh county to Finals Day.

The T20 Global league will be played by eight franchise teams in eight cities across South Africa in November and December.
