Weve got good quality in our dressing room - Rudolph

Skipper Jacques Rudolph was in buoyant mood after his side topped the south group with a seven wicket win against Middlesex in Cardiff.

The visitors were restricted to 99/8 from their fourteen overs after superb bowling by Marchant de Lange and Michael Hogan who picked up three wickets apiece.

“It was quite an important toss for us to win,” said Rudolph. “These shortened games are always difficult batting first.”

“You don’t really know how to go about the innings but out bowlers really did step up to the plate and I think Marchant and Hoges taking those early wickets really put us in a good position to win this game.”

Glamorgan now face Leicestershire on Wednesday night in the last eight and Rudolph is confident his side can come away with a victory which will see them reach Finals Day for the first time since 2004.

“I’m very pleased. We’ve got a good group of people together. We’ve got good quality in our dressing room and I do believe we have the team to take us all the way to Finals Day and we just have to keep going with this momentum.

“I haven’t had a chance to think about the quarter-final too much but it’s nice for the club to know we’ve got a home match. That’s quite important to us and knowing quite a few of the Leicester players, they’ve got a few X-factor players just like us so hopefully on the day our boys will come out on top.”
