Glamorgan’s match against Surrey in the NatWest T20 Blast at The SSE SWALEC has been abandoned.
Light rain had been falling during the late afternoon and with the precipitation intensifying, the umpires – Peter Hartley and Paul Baldwin – decided at 5.30pm to delay the start which had been scheduled for 6.30pm.
Rain continued to fall for a further hour and following an initial inspection at 6.30pm, the umpires decided to make a further inspection at 7.30pm. But with the rain still falling, the contest was called off shortly afterwards.
