Same Again for Glamorgan in Top of the Table Clash

Head Coach Robert Croft has named an unchanged squad for tomorrow’s top of the table tussle with Surrey in Cardiff.

Glamorgan currently sit top of the NatWest T20 Blast south group, with nine points after winning three successive away matches.

The Welsh County beat Sussex and Essex before defeating local rivals Gloucestershire at the Brightside ground in a clinical all-round display in front of the Sky cameras on Tuesday night.

"The position in the table is a fair reflection of how we’ve played our cricket so far,” said captain Jacques Rudolph.

“We’ve been effected by rain in three games, but where we’ve not been effected by the weather we’ve played some really good cricket.

“I’m really pleased with the way our squad has gone so far, there’s some good rhythm and flow in our dressing room so long may it continue."

Rudolph was particularly enthused at the start new signing David Miller has made at the club after he thrashed fifty from just 33 balls against Gloucestershire.

"Colin and David are similar batsmen and on his debut David assessed the conditions and the situation very well to get off the mark with a fifty tonight and get some confidence.”

However, despite his side’s strong start in the competition Rudolph is well aware of the threat posed by Surrey. The London club are in second place with only Glamorgan’s superior run rate separating the teams after seven matches.

"Surrey are a very dangerous team especially with Finch and Jason Roy up front, but we do have our own good players, we’ve got very good bowlers, X-Factor bowlers who can potentially get them out and that’s got to be the mindset going up against the likes of Surrey,” added Rudolph.

Glamorgan (14-man) squad: Jacques Rudolph (c), Aneurin Donald, Nick Selman, Colin Ingram, David Miller, Chris Cooke (wk), Graham Wagg, Craig Meschede, Andrew Salter, Marchant de Lange, Timm van der Gugten, Michael Hogan, Owen Morgan, Connor Brown.

Adult tickets are just £16 when bought before midnight tonight and tickets for U17s are only £5. Secure your seats: www.glamorgancricket.com/tickets
