Reaction - It was a tough afternoon

Glamorgan one-day captain Colin Ingram was disappointed after Gloucestershire proved too much for the Welsh County in the opening round of the Royal London One-Day Cup.

The home side set local rivals Gloucestershire a target of 265 after winning the toss and electing to bat. The visitors however quickly chased down the score with a strong opening stand from batsmen George Hankins (85) and Chris Dent (80) before sealing the win by eight wickets.

"The wicket had a little moisture this morning and we hoped it would harden out and be good to bat on, and it was. It [the wicket] got better this afternoon and it was tough.

"I think when you get two batters that get in with four fielders out there, they can take their opportunities and unfortunately with our partnership, myself and Shaun Marsh got out and we lost our way momentum wise. They [Gloucestershire] on the other hand put a good partnership together and it put us under real pressure.

"I always like to take a positive so it's good that our middle order got in but every team will speak about one guy getting in and getting a big one. If one of us in the top four or five had taken it through to the last couple of overs then we could've put another 30 or so on the board."
