Educational Activities at Glamorgan Cricket

Glamorgan Cricket have successfully run educational visits to their headquarters since 2002, with a number of primary and secondary schools enjoying visits to the SWALEC Stadium. The ground in Cardiff has undergone some impressive redevelopments since 2007, and Glamorgan can now offer a wide range of educational activities, including:

• Free-of-charge tours around the new Test-standard stadium
  
  
• A series of cricket-based learning materials across the curriculum
  
  
• A ‘watch and play’ package allowing pupils to watch a Championship match at The SWALEC Stadium and receive coaching from Glamorgan’s fully-qualified coaches
  
  
• Professional coaching facilities in the National Cricket Centre
  
  
• Visits to schools by a mobile exhibition vehicle, containing interactive displays and fun activities

For 2009, a special series of activities are being planned with an Ashes-theme, whilst in the course of the next few years, the facilities will be complimented by the opening of the Museum of Welsh Cricket, plus an interactive classroom.
