Graham Wagg is a combative all-rounder who has previously played county cricket for Warwickshire and Derbyshire, besides appearing for England A. The left-arm swing bowler joined Glamorgan in 2010 and his abilities with the ball, as well as his forthright batting has seen him become a valuable member of Glamorgan’s team in both formats of the game.
2012 saw Graham miss several months with a foot injury, but even so, the summer still saw him record figures of 6/44 in the Championship match against Derbyshire at the SWALEC Stadium, as well as 4/45 against Surrey in the 40-over League game The Oval.
Graham was awarded his Glamorgan cap in 2013 – a season which saw him record the Club’s best-ever bowling figures in Twenty20 cricket as he took 5/14 against Worcestershire at New Road – whilst in 2014 he scored his maiden Championship century for the Welsh country, by completing a hundred in the match against Kent at Canterbury. He also began the 2014 season with career-best bowling figures of 6/29 against Surrey as Glamorgan romped to an emphatic ten-wicket victory at The Oval.
Graham enjoyed a stellar summer in 2015 during which he scored an outstanding maiden double-hundred against Surrey at Guildford where his swashbuckling efforts with the bat turned the game on its head and allowed Glamorgan to ease to an emphatic victory. He also bowled a number of decisive spells in white ball cricket, especially in the Twenty20 match against the Kent Spitfires at Tunbridge Wells where his frugal closing spell, allied to his earlier fifty, helped Glamorgan to a nail-biting one-run victory.
2016 and 2017 saw Graham continue to play a key role with bat and ball in white ball cricket, and he was a member of the Welsh county’s team that appeared at T20 Finals Day at Edgbaston.
