Glamorgan Yearbook 2016 - now available

6 Apr 2016 | Cricket
The Glamorgan Yearbook for 2016 was published last week and is now available for purchase.
As always, the Yearbook look backs on events from the previous summer and the 2016 volume is no different with a series of special articles and reviews reflecting on the events of last summer, both on and off the field for Glamorgan as well as the England-Australia matches at The SSE SWALEC, including the thrilling Test Match in July which saw England go 1-0 up in the Ashes series.

Amongst the special articles in the Yearbook are interviews with Club captain Jacques Rudolph and Graham Wagg - Glamorgan's Player of the Season for 2015 - with a special feature reflecting on his almost superhuman efforts at Guildford as Glamorgan defeated Surrey in the County Championship.

The 2016 Yearbook also contains a series of Flashback articles recalling events from 1926, 1946, and 1966 - including Glamorgan's final season at the Arms Park prior to a move to Sophia Gardens - plus further instalments of the series entitled When the Cricket Fields Fell Silent looking back at events during the Great War when so many Welsh cricketers lost their lives.

As always, the Yearbook includes scorecards of every game played by Glamorgan during 2015, whilst the statistical and records pages have been augmented to include new information and milestones about the Club and its players. There is plenty of information as well about the Glamorgan 2nd XI, the Wales Minor Counties, and the South Wales Premier League in which the Welsh county's players appear in club cricket, plus reports on the Cricket in the Community programme which has seen the Welsh club engage with schools and other organisations throughout Wales during an Ashes-winning summer, besides winning awards for their innovative schemes.

If you would like to purchase a copy of the Glamorgan Yearbook, available at £17 (plus £1.99 for postage), please send an email to museum@glamorgancricket.co.uk or write to Yearbook Orders, c/o Archives Department, Glamorgan CCC, The SSE SWALEC, Cardiff, CF11 9XR.
