Glamorgan record breakers look to extend winning run

Head Coach Robert Croft has named an unchanged 14-man squad for today’s clash against Somerset at Taunton in the Vitality Blast.

Both teams are currently in fine form with Somerset on a six match winning streak, while Glamorgan broke their record for successive wins in T20 cricket with their win against Hampshire on Friday.

The Welsh county currently sit in third place in the South Group with a win against their local rivals Somerset all but confirming their place in the quarter-finals, and put Glamorgan in a strong position to secure a home quarter-final.

Despite the run, Head Coach Robert Croft is refusing to look too far ahead and take each game as it comes.

‘We’re just going to let it ride and keep playing,’ said Croft. ‘We’ve won five on the bounce so confidence is high. It’s about keeping the attitude right and taking on the opposition at every opportunity.’

14-man squad to face Somerset: Meschede, Donald, Ingram (c), Carlson, Lloyd, Cooke, Wagg, Smith, Salter, TVDG, Hogan, Selman, Lawlor, Carey
