A new community workspace which uses elite sports culture to power business is opening at Glamorgan.

Founded by former Wales and Newport rugby star, Alix Popham, HUB XV comes to Wales’ premier cricketing venue following a successful first launch at Bath Racecourse.

HUB XV offers individuals and small businesses a cost-effective co-working environment in an inspirational setting. Leagues above industry competition, HUB XV members get the best seats in the house at iconic sports venues – guaranteed to impress clients and put the wow-factor into every working day.

The business community includes elite athletes to help drive working practices and expand the networks of fellow members.

Former Great Britain sprinter and Olympian, Christian Malcolm, and ex-England and British & Irish Lions star, Lee Mears, are among those who will be using their experience as elite performers to support business owners, entrepreneurs and other professionals at HUB XV.

Membership benefits include: a stunning place to work and meet likeminded individuals and companies; meeting rooms; monthly business seminars; access to networking events; complimentary tickets to sporting events; discounts and other special offers; a fully integrated online community, and complimentary refreshments.

HUB XV Founder and CEO, Alix Popham, said: “After a successful first launch at Bath Racecourse, we’re very excited to be opening our second HUB XV at Glamorgan County Cricket Club.

“As a premier ground for county and test cricket, we’re delighted to give local companies a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, network and grow from a beautiful venue that has real sporting prestige.

“Business teams can come here to Sophia Gardens, connect with other firms and rely on a fantastic support network that will help them to achieve their goals.

“There are unbeatable membership benefits too, including access to two business seminars each month, tickets to sporting events, an online community and much more in an exciting collaborative working environment that pushes industry standards.”

Head of Events, Amanda Simisker, said: "We’re extremely excited to work in collaboration with HUB XV and look forward to welcoming our first members over the coming months.

“Sophia Gardens is a fantastic multi-purpose venue in the heart of Cardiff and offers the perfect setting for like-minded businesses to flourish in a fun, collaborative and creative community.”
