Head Coach Robert Croft has named a 13-man squad to face Somerset in the Vitality Blast under the lights at Sophia Gardens on Friday night.

Glamorgan head into Friday with just the one change as new signing Joe Burns is named in the squad in place of David Lloyd who has been sidelined short term with a finger injury. Burns could feature right away in front of the Glamorgan faithful after arriving in the week.

The Welsh county will be looking for their third win in four games after an explosive performance against Hampshire and a dramatic nail-biter in Chelmsford.

Chris Cooke's batting heroics last week saw Glamorgan clinch a dramatic win off the last ball of the match. Cooke is happy with his contribution and the start the Welsh county have made in the Vitality Blast.

"It was nice to contribute and those things either come off or they don't," Said Cooke. "We're pretty happy that it did and then to put two points on the board. We're only three games in so we realise it's a long way to go so for now it's about concentrating on playing good cricket.

"We've had two good wins on the road now so we're all pretty excited about putting in a good home performance."

The vice-captain is hoping Glamorgan can mount a winning run with Cooke believing Somerset will pose the home side a tough challenge on Friday night.

"It's always a really tough game against them [Somerset]," added Cooke. "Everyone's pretty excited but they have some very good players in their team so we're expecting a big challenge.

"It's a long campaign and you have to expect it's going to ebb and flow. When you get on a run you have to respect that and try to keep it going for as long as possible because everyone is going to lose games. It's a big local derby tomorrow night so hopefully we can get a nice big crowd in.

"We all look forward to playing in front of our home fans at the beginning of the season. Hopefully we can get a good crowd and put a good performance in and fingers crossed we can go three from four."
