Here’s some tips to know before your visit to Sophia Gardens

1.Travel - There is no public car parking available at the ground on the day. The best way to get here is on a Park & Ride service or via public transport to Cardiff Central. Plan your journey in advance and leave plenty of time to get to the ground. Glamorgan Cricket operate a Park & Ride service from Cardiff City Stadium (Postcode: CF11 8AZ), which is £10 per car on arrival. The first bus departs the Park & Ride at 1pm and the last bus departs from Sophia Gardens to the Park & Ride at 10:30pm.

Network Rail are upgrading the lines around the Bristol & South Wales area, therefore journeys will take longer than normal. Trains coming into and across the South Wales region will be working to a revised timetable with a diversion via Gloucester or replacement buses between Bristol and Newport, so please check your travel plans carefully and your last train home.

2. Bring cash with you to the ground, as payments at the food and drink units and any ticket upgrades may need to be purchased by cash only. However, there are card payments will be accepted at all food and beverage outlets.

There will be no cash point on site.

3. Take your taste buds on an international journey and visit The Lawn & the Food Village. We are excited to welcome local vendors of Italian, Venezuelan, Portuguese & Mexican cuisines. Children's portions will be available throughout.

Cash and card payments will be accepted at all concessions.

4. Please drink responsibly. There are multiple public bars located all around the venue. There will be full range of alcoholic and soft drinks. Our Green Goblets will be in use with deposits for plastic pint glasses (£1) & jugs (£5). Cash and card payments will be accepted at all concessions.

There will be free water refill units located within the venue, bring empty bottles and stay hydrated.

5. Bring a raincoat & sun-cream, prepare yourself for all kinds of British summer weather! The latest weather forecast for Saturday is varied, check out the BBC Weather page here.

6. Don't forget your TICKETS! Check the map sent in the Event Guide with your tickets to see where you are seated so you are familiar with the ground before you arrive. No duplicate tickets will be issued.

7. There are plenty of activities going on around the stadium to keep you entertained! You'll be able to test your cricket skills with Glamorgan Cricket, scale the Boulders climbing wall (weather dependent), meet Glamorgan's Mascots Dewi & Morgan and more.

All of these activities are free, so come down early, enjoy some live music and beat the queues before the game.

8. Multi Faith room will be available in the Bute Suite, Sport Wales National Centre. To access the Multi Faith room, please remember to scan out of the stadium to ensure you can get back in. The Sport Wales National Centre is located behind the Foster's Grandstand, with Gate 2 the nearest entry/exit point.

9. Bought tickets this week? Collect on the day from the gazebo by Gate 2 if you haven't had your tickets posted out.

10. Our stewards and volunteer information ambassadors will be happy to help on the day. If you have any queries, big or small, please speak to a steward who will be happy to assist you.

11. Accessibility - The Club recognises that many people who visit the Venue will have special requirements. A Mobiloo Changing Places toilet will be located underneath the Castell Howell Stand. Our dedicated disability stewarding team look forward to welcoming you. Visit glamorgancricket.com/visiting for more information.
