An Evening with Alan Wilkins - Oct 10th

Alan Wilkins, the former Glamorgan bowler and now a well-known commentator and broadcaster will be speaking in the first of the talks held over the course of the coming months in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket at the headquarters of Glamorgan County Cricket Club at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on Wednesday, October 10th (starting at 7.00pm).

“An Evening with Alan Wilkins” will see the left-arm bowler reflect on his eraly years in club cricket in the Car diff area, before looking back on his domestic playing career with Glamorgan and Gloucestershire, which included an appearance in the 1977 Gillette Cup Final at Lord’s, as well as spells in club cricket in South Africa.

Alan will also be talking about his move into broadcasting, initially with the BBC and subsequently overseas with the South African Broadcasting Commission and STAR Sports, in addition to talking about his experiences in the Indian Premier League, and covering other high-profile sporting events.

Tickets for the evening cost £3 in advance for current Glamorgan members or £4 on the door on the night. For non-members, it’s £4 in advance or £5 on the door (Price includes complimentary tea and coffee).
