The Foster's Icons of Darts is back on 17th January 2020 as some of the world's best take to the oche at Sophia Gardens!

We are delighted to confirm The Foster's Icons of Darts will return to Sophia Gardens for a 5th time and is bigger and better than ever before...

The greatest darts player of them all, Phil 'The Power' Taylor will be making his debut at the event, which will also feature five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld who returns to Cardiff for a third time.

Crowd favourite Wayne Mardle is also in action, while Welshman Jamie Lewis completes the line-up.

van Barneveld also has history in taking on Welsh opponents - he's beaten them five times in the PDC team events finals, and a further two times in singles finals.

Phil 'The Power' Taylor is, in the eyes of most darts fan around the globe, the greatest player to ever grace the oche.

Taylor has recorded nearly a century of majors wins and his record career average may never be beaten as well as his penchant for nine-dart finishes on some of the biggest stages.

His record in Wales includes a pair of Welsh Championships in the mid-2000s, and a debut at the Foster's Icons of Darts

The up-and-coming young Welsh star will be looking to make a name for himself in his debut appearance at the Foster's Icons of Darts.

'Rasta' has won a number of development cups, as well as the Welsh Classic, and now has his sights higher - where better to start than taking on some of the greatest players darts has ever had.

'501' gets his nickname from his love of Hawaiian shirts and career as a darts player and commentator, and is one of the most popular figures in the game.

Wayne Mardle had a successful career as a player, reaching 5th in the world rankings and performing consistently well at a number of tournaments throughout the mid-2000s.

Since hanging up his darts he's gone on to become one of the leading pundits and commentators in the world, bringing insight and knowledge to audiences around the globe.
