David Lloyd confirmed as a guest in the Museum Talks

David Lloyd has been confirmed as one of the guest speakers in the series of popular winter talks in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket at Glamorgan Cricket’s headquarters at Sophia Gardens.

The Club’s vice-captain and One-Day Player of the Year for 2019 will speaking on November 26th in an event starting at 7pm in the Museum. “An Evening with David Lloyd” will see the all-rounder reflect on the events of the recent summer, as well as talking about his career so far and his early days in cricket in North Wales and at Shrewsbury School.

The date for the popular quiz and curry evening  has been conformed as taking place on December 10th, starting at 7pm, once again giving Glamorgan supporters a chance to try out their cricketing knowledge in a fun and light-hearted way in teams of four against fellow fans.

The programme of winter talks begins at 7pm on October 17th with “ The  Boys of 1969” as Andrew Hignell, with the help from Roger Davis and others, looks back fifty years to the Daffodil golden summer of 1969 with Glamorgan’s second Championship title, and the start of Sunday League. The evening will also include footage from 1969 and filmed interviews with other members of the Championship-winning squad.

The Quiz Night will be £10 per person (including curry and a complimentary drink). Each of the other talks will be £3 in advance for current Glamorgan members or £4 on the door on the night. For non-members, it’s £4 in advance or £5 on the door (Price includes complimentary tea and coffee).
