Museum of Welsh Cricket - Podcasts launched today

31 Jul 2020 | Cricket

The CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket is delighted to announce the launch today of a series of podcasts containing fascinating interviews with a number of people associated with cricket – both professional and recreational – throughout Wales.

The podcasts - hosted by Stephen Hedges and Alun Rhys Chivers - will also contain features on cricket clubs in Wales, as well as looking at some of the fascinating memorabilia and artifacts associated with the summer game.

Albert Francis, the former groundsman at Cardiff Arms Park and Sophia Gardens, is featured in the inaugural podcast, whilst further editions will include an interview with Edward Bevan, the long-serving BBC Wales cricket correspondent, about his days playing for Gowerton CC and appearing in the Village Cup Final at Lord’s, as well as features about Pontypridd CC who are celebrating their 150th anniversary in 2020.

New editions of the podcasts will be available each Friday from 31st July – please visit https://glamorgancricketarchives.com/podcasts/ for further details of how to download and listen to them.
