WE HAVE NOW SOLD OUT! There will be no tickets available on the gates - we hope everyone attending has a wonderful time!

 

Sophiaworks is back with a bang as we host our second fireworks night event at Sophia Gardens Cardiff.

Gates open at 6pm, with the display starting at 7.45pm and lasting 25 minutes. Cardiff’s very own Wyburn and Wayne will again be on hosting duties, bringing their incredible energy to what is sure to be a (fire)cracker of an evening.

Entry to the event is via Gate 4, and we advise you arrive as early as possible to avoid missing any of the display.

Print your tickets at home or collect from the Ticket Office on the day (next to Gate 2).

*All U17s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Seating at Sophiaworks is allocated for those who have bought tickets in advance of the day of the event. Tickets bought on the day will be in the unreserved seating and pitch standing areas, and are first come, first served.

Travel

There is limited public car parking available at the Stadium, with around 40 spaces at £5 per car. These spaces are first come, first served, and cannot be reserved in advance.

There are a number of independent car parks located throughout the city, visit www.ncp.co.uk/cardiff.

Cardiff Bus services run regularly between Cardiff Central Station and Cathedral Road (adjacent to Sophia Gardens Cardiff) Routes going via Cathedral Road include:

  • Number 25 Circular Service to Llandaff North and North Road
  • Number 62 Service to Llandaff, Danescourt, Pentrebane, Fairwater & Canton.
  • Number 63 service Ffordd Berllan, Central Station, Radyr to Llandaff.

Entertainment

Wyburn and Wayne will be hosting the evening, while there are also funfair rides situated out on the back lawn. After the fireworks display, the ground will remain open until 8.45, giving you extra time to enjoy your Sophiaworks experience before you head home.

Food & Drink

We’ve teamed up with Street Food Warehouse to bring an array of mouth-watering food outlets to Sophiaworks. Spicer’s Meat Wagon are bringing their BBQ talents to Sophia Gardens, with the Grubshed and Orgazmic Hot Chocolate & Waffle stand also in attendance, as well as Dinky Donuts. The Pop Up Bar Hire Co. will be on hand with an assortment of beverages.

There are also free water refill points situated in the concourse.

You are not permitted to bring your own food and drink into the stadium for this event.

Weather

The latest weather forecast for Tuesday evening is dry but cool, so wrap up warm and be prepared!

Safety and security

Comprehensive security measures will be in place for all those visiting Sophia Gardens Cardiff and all bags will be searched on entrance. Our stewards will be happy to assist with any queries you may have. If you have any safety or security concerns on the day, please contact your nearest steward who will be happy to assist. Please arrive as early as possible to avoid missing any of the display.
