Glamorgan look to bounce back in Taunton

Glamorgan will look to pick up their first win in the Royal London One-Day Cup against Somerset tomorrow after their defeat to Gloucestershire at Sophia Gardens Cardiff.

Robert Croft has named a 14-man squad as Glamorgan travel to Taunton in a bid to bounce back with a win against Somerset. A flurry of runs from the Welsh County's middle order including 57 runs from Shaun Marsh, proved not enough as Gloucestershire successfully chased a target of 265 with 8-wickets remaining.

The only change sees Ruaidhri Smith added to the 13-man squad that featured against Gloucestershire yesterday. Glamorgan white-ball captain Colin Ingram feels the team will go to Taunton on Sunday hungry to pick up their first Royal London One-Day Cup win.

"It's always tough to go down to Taunton," says Ingram, "we've always had a good rivalry against them [Somerset]. Sometimes when you lose the first game up you have to dust yourself off quickly.

"We're going to go there with more fight and energy going into the game because it's never nice to lose, so we're looking forward to going down there."

The Welsh County will be without Glamorgan Pathway Player Kiran Carlson as he turns attentions to his studies at Cardiff University. Ingram says the team fully support Carlson with his studies and will welcome him back when he is ready to return to action.

"Kiran will be away for a little while, he's studying for a degree and very committed to that which is great for a young guy. We all support him in his studies because there is a life after cricket but we're going to miss him."
